Cat Bells, Lake District
Cat Bells, Lake District ∆ 7, 777
This distinctive fell, one of the most popular walks in the Lake District, is seen here from a position near Friar's Crag, across Derwentwater. Rising to a height of 451 metres, the panoramic views from the top include the whole of Derwentwater and nearby Keswick, as well as Bassenthwaite Lake, Skiddaw and Borrowdale.
It was on the eastern slopes of Cat Bells that Beatrix Potter placed the home of Mrs Tiggy-Winkle.
